The Great Grain Experiment


In an effort to consume a wider variety of foods, we tried quinoa for the first time. All reports that I’ve read point to it being some kind of super food – high in protein, iron, magnesium and dietary fibre – so I was keen to give this little grain a go.

We served it with a bunch of local veggies (snow peas, green beans, zucchini, capsicum, onions and garlic) as well as some chickpeas, and seasoned with a little sea salt, lots of pepper and some oregano.

The result? A success! We’ll definitely be making quinoa again!
